Sporting Kansas City vs Chicago Fire
Saturday, July 6th, 2019
MLS Week 18 | Children’s Mercy Park, Kansas City KS
Kickoff: 7:30 pm CT
Referee: Joe Dickerson
Assistant Referees: Matthew Nelson, Mike Rottersman
4th Official: Mark Allatin
VAR: Edvin Jurisevic
We’re still not convinced that the Fire’s shock beatdown of the defending MLS champions on Wednesday wasn’t some mass hallucination. But the team, and the league record keepers, seem to believe it happened, so we’re going along with it for now. The Fire will try to make it two in a row against Sporting KC— a team that we shouldn’t be able to beat, but after Wednesday, we can’t rule anything out.
