Report: Matic or Martinez could be on the way to Chicago

There’s a new report connecting Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic to Chicago.

English tabloid paper The Sun claims Matic could be headed to Chicago Fire FC in a $6.5 million designated player deal that could be done by the end of the January transfer window.

If that doesn’t work out, The Sun says the Fire will switch their attention to Bayern Munich central midfielder Javi Martinez. The report also says the Fire are interested in Preston defender Josh Earl, who is 21.

We should be clear: This is The Sun, so we’re highly skeptical. But, given these options, would you want Matic or Martinez? And, what about Earl?
