New Chicago Fire head coach Raphael Wicky’s technical staff is nearly complete.
We already know Fire legend Frank Klopas is joining the staff as an assistant, and today the team announced a new goalkeeper coach and a new performance coach.
Adin Brown joins the Fire as goalkeeper coach after spending the last five seasons with both Portland Timbers and Portland Timbers 2. As a player, Brown had stints with the Colorado Rapids, Tampa Bay Mutany, New England Revolution and Portland. He also played professionally in Norway.
John Grace will be the Fire’s new performance coach. Grace joins the club after spending the last few seasons as Orlando City’s performance coach and head of sport science. During that time, Grace also worked with the NWSL’s Orlando Pride.
Along with Brown and Grace, the Fire also announced the return of Head Athletic Trainer Reade Whitney, Assistant Athletic Trainer Hillary Bell, Massage Therapist Steven Burrows, Equipment Manager Brian Sauer and Assistant Equipment Manager Juan Arreola.
Also, Tyler Golden joins the first team as an assistant athletic trainer. He last worked at the Fire’s academy.
The club says one more assistant coach will join at a later date.
