If you’re looking to ditch the cold weather and see the Chicago Fire before they get to Soldier Field, here’s your chance.
The Fire today announced a six-match preseason schedule, with games in both Florida and Southern California.
First team players are due to report to Chicago on January 18. They’ll train at the CIBC Fire Pitch in Chicago January 20-24, then head to Tampa, Fla. for a 12-day training camp. Chicago faces Philadelphia Union on Saturday, February 1 at the Joe DiMaggio Sports Complex in Clearwater, Fla. There’s a second match penciled in against a yet-to-be-named opponent on Thursday, February 6 at the Tournament Sportsplex of Tampa Bay.
Then the Fire move to Southern California for four matches: Chicago will face USL Championship side Orange County SC (Feb. 12), Colorado Rapids (Feb. 15), Toronto FC (Feb. 19) and LA Galaxy (Feb. 22).
