Minnesota United 2, Chicago Fire 2: Man of the Match

MLS: Chicago Fire at Minnesota United FC Nick Wosika-USA TODAY Sports

Mauricio Pineda made a statement tonight. If MLS had a rookie of the year award, He’d be the player who would have won it, and games like this are why. he not only scored the goal that put the Fire up 2-0, but he made several key defensive plays that kept the Fire in the game until the end. Pineda’s steady play over the course of season is finally rewarded with our Man of the Match.
