With the California leg of preseason now well underway, the Chicago Fire face USL Championship side Orange County SC this afternoon.
The game is at 2 p.m. CT today at Orange County Great Park in Irvine, Calif. There’s no streaming or TV options for this match, but there will be for the Fire’s next preseason match—this Saturday against Colorado Rapids in Carson, Calif. That match will be streamed live at the Fire’s website, ChicagoFireFC.com.
Orange County may be a lower division club, but they have at least one player you probably remember. Former U.S. National Team player Michael Orozco now plays for the club. Orozco is famous for scoring the lone goal for the United States in a 1-0 win over Mexico at Estadio Azteca in 2012—the first time the U.S. had ever won on Mexican soil.
Last time out, the Fire picked up a 3-1 win over Nashville SC in Tampa, with CJ Sapong, Elliot Collier and Robert Berić all scoring.
