It’s the penultimate preseason match for the Chicago Fire this afternoon, when they take on Toronto FC at the University of California-Irvine. New forward Robert Berić should see some playing time today, after missing the last match to fly back to Europe for his Visa. It’ll also be interesting to note who wears the captain’s armband for the Fire today—Francisco Calvo, Jonathan Bornstein and CJ Sapong have all had the duty this preseason.
After a 4-2 loss to the Colorado Rapids in their last match, the Fire are 2-2 on the preseason.
As for Toronto, captain Michael Bradley is out because of ankle surgery that will see him miss the start of the 2020 MLS season.
There’s no stream available for this match. But, the Fire’s final match of the preseason—Saturday against LA Galaxy—will be available at ChicagoFireFC.com.
