Let’s face it: all Chicago sports fans are focused on watching the first two episodes of “The Last Dance” right now. In case you somehow don’t know, it’s ESPN’s 10-part, all-access documentary on Michael Jordan’s 1997-98 Chicago Bulls. It airs at 8 p.m. CT on ESPN (with all the bad words), and ESPN 2 (censored).
Before that, at 6 p.m. CT, Chicago Fire defender Francisco Calvo kicks off the “eMLS Tournament Special,” a five-week FIFA 20 tournament featuring MLS and eMLS players. Calvo and Enrique ‘BITW7’ Espinoza are representing the Fire against FC Cincinnati’s Kendall Waston and Gordon ‘FIDDLE’ Thornsberry. The event airs on FS1 and FOX Deportes.

If the Fire duo can advance, they’ll finish off tonight’s broadcast by taking on the winner of “El Trafico” matchup, featuring Chicharito for the Galaxy, and Adama Diomande for LAFC. The winners of tonight’s final match will advance to the tournament final on May 17.
Because of COVID-19, the players are all taking part remotely from their homes, and MLS and FOX Sports are making donations to food banks on behalf of the winning clubs.
So, it’s a pretty solid evening of Chicago sports TV. Hopefully, tonight won’t be “The Last Dance” for Calvo and BITW7.
