July 21, 2019 was a pretty solid day for Chicago Red Stars fans. All of Chicago’s stars were back from the 2019 World Cup, there were 17,000-plus fans at SeatGeek Stadium, the weather was fantastic, and the Red Stars beat the North Carolina Courage. Back then, we’d never heard of COVID-19 or social distancing. There were no quarantines or curves to flatten. Things were better.
So, it’s for good reason the Red Stars are hosting a virtual party to re-live that day. It’s Saturday at 4 p.m., and will feature appearances by several players who played a part in the win that day. Want to join the fun? There’s a link in the tweet below.
This Saturday at 4pm CT we're reliving the glorious July 21st game on Zoom. Join a slew of guests including @Yuki_Ogimi, @AlyssaNaeher, @sarahlgorden, @agilli16, @vdibernardo10 & MORE!

Speaking of the Red Stars, Hot Time’s former managing editor, Bridget Gordon, landed a very cool interview with the club’s new PA announcer, Lindsey Eanet over at AllForXI. You should definitely give it a read.
MLS announced late last night the league is extending the moratorium on group training through the end of the month. It was supposed to expire today. The league will continue to allow voluntary individual training in markets that aren’t under a stay-at-home order, but Chicago Fire players are still prohibited from training on the club’s practice fields in Bridgeview because Illinois’ order remains in place.
Finally, former Fire star Chris Rolfe joined Tyler Terens for a look back at Rolfe’s best goals in a Fire shirt. It’s a fun conversation. Take a look!
