The Chicago Red Stars are on to the finals of the NWSL Challenge Cup thanks to two goals in the first 11 minutes. They were then forced to hold on to secure a 3-2 victory against Sky Blue FC.
Bianca St. Georges struck first in the 8th minute on beautiful cutback beating Kailen Sheridan to the back post.

Less than four minutes later, Rachel Hill was able to collect a headed clearance from a St. Georges cross to double the lead.

Savannah McCaskill struck in the 60th minute on a counter-attack, and played it off to Bianca St. Georges on the right. St. Georges played it back to McCaskill in front of the Sky Blue goal and McCaskill made no mistakes and put it into the upper left corner.

Sky Blue got into the game first with a goal headed in by Evelyne Viens in the 72nd minute, and an own goal by Julie Ertz five minutes later made it a one goal game.
