A quick Chicago Fire notebook for you this Friday afternoon...
The Fire trained this morning at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview. There’s still no official word on when matches will begin again, but MLS is hoping to re-start the regular season in mid-to-late August, shortly after the MLS is Back Tournament ends in Orlando.
Speaking of training, check out this beautiful throw-in assist from Fire midfielder (and noted Chelsea FC fan) Brandt Bronico, who dropped a ball perfectly in front of a racing CJ Sapong at training this week. The Fire’s drone caught it on camera, and CJ posted it to his Instagram:

Finally, Forward Madison plays its home opener tonight against Greenville Triumph at Hart Park in Wauwatosa, WI (7 p.m. ESPN+). Fire Homegrowns Alex Monis, Allan Rodriguez, and Chris Brady are all on loan with the USL League One side. So far, only Monis has seen action for the ‘Mingos—around 20 minutes in the season opener last week in a 2-1 loss at North Texas. The match is on ESPN+. If you don’t have it, sign up using our link!
