Chicago Fire Homegrown goalkeeper Chris Brady made his pro debut Sunday night for Forward Madison FC, allowing just one goal in a 3-1 win over Orlando City B in Wauwatosa, WI.
After sitting on the bench for Forward’s first several matches, Brady got word from Madison Coach Daryl Shore early last week he’d be getting the start against Orlando City B.
“The whole week was just prepping for this and the weeks prior were just the kind of mentality of ones who were going to come in and you got to be ready to go,” Brady said. “Most of the time you’d think that it would be harder on yourself but throughout the week, you get more geared into it and training just strictly for the game, it helps for me at least.”

Fellow Fire Homegrown Alex Monis also started for the Mingos, coming off in the 68th minute, just before a lightning delay. The third Fire loanee in Madison, Allan Rodriguez, did not play.
With the win, Forward Madison jumps to third place on eight points, just two behind the Richmond Kickers for the final playoff place. Next up, the Mingos host North Texas SC on Sunday, August 30 at 4 p.m. As always, you can watch on ESPN+.
