The Chicago Fire’s new professional FIFA player, Kid M3ito, is busy representing the club this weekend at the FIFA 21 Global Series North American Qualifier.
He’s taking part in the Xbox side of the tournament, which kicks off today around 11:15 a.m. CT. You can watch it on Twitch. Kid M3mito should play his first match sometime around noon CT.
Kid M3mito, who recently signed with the Fire, is only one of two players currently ranked top 200 in the world in eMLS (currently he is ranked 34th in the USA and 186th in the world). His real name is Guillermo “Memo” Treviño, and before joining the Fire, he represented the Houston Dynamo.
The top 6 competitors from each console (PS4 & Xbox) are competing in North America. This is the first of five North America qualifiers happening this year. These qualifiers lead to the Regional Playoffs.
