Chicago Red Stars vs Kansas City: Gameday Guide and How to Watch

The Red Stars must win to keep their playoff hopes alive

Sitting just above the line on 32 points, the Red Stars need a win against last-placed Kansas City to inch closer to a playoff spot. Kansas City will visit SeatGeek Stadium for the Red Stars’ final home game of the season. The game will kick off at 7:00 PM Central Time.

Julie Ertz and Alyssa Naeher are still unavailable for selection due to long-term injuries. Following Wednesday’s win over the Orlando Pride, there is expected to be some rotation to the starting lineup. With the international break looming, though, it should not be too much of a concern. On a positive note, Alyssa Naeher and Julie Ertz are set to join up with the USWNT to train, a sign that they could possibly be returning to play soon, though it is still unlikely they will be back for the playoffs.

Kansas City sit in last place, with only three wins all season. In the two previous regular season meetings between Chicago and Kansas City, Chicago has been dominant, winning 2-0 and 3-0.

The match will be aired on Paramount+, and tickets are available at SeatGeek Stadium.
