New England Revolution 2, Chicago Fire 2: Man of the Match

MLS: Chicago Fire at New England Revolution Winslow Townson-USA TODAY Sports

The Fire once again played the Revs tough. There were times in the game where gave us glimpses of what could have been— had they been able to play good soccer consistently all season, and they gave 90 minutes of effort, which at this point of the season is all you can ask. With that in mind, we have to give our Man of the Match award tonight to Álvaro Medrán. All night he was conducting the offense and was the player in the right place to finish off Jhon Espinoza’s fantastic cross to tie the game at 1. Congratulations to Medrán for yet another MotM performance.
