The U.S. U-20 squad kicks off the Revelations Cup Tournament in Mexico with a 5 p.m. CT match against Brazil. The Chicago Fire’s Gabriel Slonina, Missael Rodriguez and Brian Gutierrez are all part of the squad.
“It’s the biggest excitement for me and my teammates,” Gutierrez told reporters this week. “It’s going to be our first camp in two years since the pandemic. It’s an honor to represent the country and excited for these three games in Mexico and excited for this tournament.”
All three U.S. matches will air on TUDN:
- Wednesday, Nov. 10 - USA vs. Brazil - 5 p.m. CT
- Saturday, Nov. 13 - USA vs. Colombia - 3:30 p.m. CT
- Tuesday, Nov. 16 - USA vs. Mexico - 5 p.m. CT
For Fire fans, it’ll be a great opportunity to watch Rodriguez, who recently joined Chicago on a homegrown deal after helping the Fire Academy win the U-19 MLS Next championship. It’s his first ever youth national team call up. Both Slonina and Gutierrez have represented the U.S. at other levels, but this is their first U-20 YNT call up.
The team is led by new head coach Mikey Varas.
