Raphael Wicky reacts to the Fire’s 2-1 preseason loss to FC Cincinnati

Plus, highlights from the match

Chicago Fire FC

Chicago Fire head coach Raphael Wicky loves to preach consistency—he hates getting too high after wins, and too low after losses. He likes to keep things level, and his takeaways after Saturday’s 2-1 loss to FC Cincinnati were no different.

“We’re still in a build,” Wicky said. “Obviously we don’t like to lose, so we’re not happy with the result, but we knew after the two victories that there was work to do, and we also know today that there is work to do.”

You can check out his full interview below, as well as a few highlights from the match. The Fire close out the Orlando portion of training camp with a closed door scrimmage against Orlando City on Saturday, April 3. That one will not be streamed live.

The Fire recently announced two more preseason matches at SeatGeek Stadium—April 7 against Forward Madison FC (noon CT), and April 10 against the Vancouver Whitecaps (11:30 a.m. CT). Both will be streamed at Like usual, MLS rules limit it to fans within 75 miles of Soldier Field.
