In an exciting opener, we saw the best and worst of the 2021 Chicago Fire. The worst, of course, was the bad turnovers and tendency to fall asleep on restarts, leading to scoring opportunities that twice were pounced on by New England. The Fire attack, though, was dynamite. A free-flowing midfield gave the Rev’s defense problems from the opening whistle. Our man of the match tonight was there for all that attacking goodness and even bagged a goal himself. Hot Time awards the first MOTM to Luka Stojanović.
