The Chicago Fire closed out a month long training camp in Orlando with a 2-2 draw against Orlando City Saturday morning. The draw, which was played behind closed doors at Exploria Stadium, moved the Fire to 2-1-1 on the preseason.
Przemyslaw Frankowski opened the scoring for Chicago, thumping home a monster shot from outside the box to make it 1-0 Fire.

Orlando equalized in the 25th minute off a goal by Schaumburg native Chris Mueller. The teams went into halftime tied 1-1.
After the break, Luka Stojanović continued his successful comeback from last season’s injury, heading home a low cross from Frankowski to make it 2-1 Fire. Orlando would equalize again in the 64th minute off a goal by Benji Michel, and the match ended 2-2.

The draw wraps up the Florida portion of training camp for the Fire. The team flew home to Chicago after the match.
“I think everyone was really tired, not only physically, but mentally after being four weeks away in the same place,” Fire coach Raphael Wicky said after the match. “But, overall, it was really good, and I think this was a really good test against a very good MLS team.”
Next up, the Fire head back to Chicago for two more preseason matches—against Forward Madison (April 7, noon CT), and the Vancouver Whitecaps (April 10, 11:30 a.m. CT). Both matches will be streamed live at ChicagoFireFC.com.
The Fire open the MLS regular season at home on Saturday, April 17 against the New England Revolution (7:30 p.m. CT, WGN-TV).
