CF Montreal 2, Chicago Fire 0: Man of the Match

MLS: Chicago Fire at CF Montreal Eric Bolte-USA TODAY Sports

It was the same old same old for the Chicago Fire in their loss to CF Montreal. For long stretches of play, they were the much better team, but couldn’t find the net and gave up two goals on the other end. A big part of the Fire’s good play was Fabian Herbers, who actually put the ball in the back of the net before an offside was called in the buildup. He also had his motor back at full strength and was everywhere he needed to be, For all of that, he wins this Sunday’s Man of the Match.
