Chicago Fire 2, New England Revolution 3: Man of the Match

MLS: New England Revolution at Chicago Fire Mike Dinovo-USA TODAY Sports

It was a tough loss for the Chicago Fire. They had their opportunities to win the game, but couldn’t get it done and ended up giving up a goal in stoppage time to turn a disappointing but acceptable draw into a frustrating loss, despite the efforts of our man of the match. Gáston Gímenez scored the second tying goal for the Fire and forced USA #1 goalkeeper Matt Turner to prove he’s capable of the job to keep New England in the game, and he also took his suspension to heart, hustling everywhere and making some key stops on defense for the Fire. If he keeps showing out like this, he deserves to come back next season (maybe on a TAM deal)
